Torch Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer to support Science & Technology initiatives and future avionic architecture for the Aviation Systems (AS) Project Office. Applicants must have minimum of 10-years experience in technical program management. Candidates must possess BS degree in Engineering or technical field, with an MS degree desired. Job requires candidates who can join, lead, support working groups to present, develop, defend, assess, evaluate technical concepts, initiatives for applicability to advance capabilities within the PM AS portfolio. The AS portfolio includes the identification and tracking of technical concepts and initiatives within: Government-wide S&T organizations, industry IRAD development, and/or development efforts within the Army and other services. Position requires the planning and execution of Joint Warfighter Assessment (JWA) and other communications/avionics demonstrations or evaluations in coordination with the Joint Maneuver Command (JMC). Job also involves the development of avionics architecture for the Future Vertical Lift (FVL) platform, through the assessment trade studies and develop technology roadmap in support of that architecture. Work products are to be routinely coordinated with PM AS staff elements and external agencies with concise out-briefs to Army leadership. Applicants must be proficient in leading/interacting with multi-disciplined teams and operate efficiently in a project management environment.
Work location is in the Huntsville area.
Position requires that candidate possess a current security clearance to access classified information. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
Travel up to 25% is required.
